Community: Workshops

I love opportunities to facilitate others in expressing themselves through art. Alongside my Arty Parties, I run workshops that have included garden slate painting at Fearon Hall, alternative self-portraits with year 9 pupils at Fernwood School, mark-making workshops at the City Festival and mindful mark-making with students and staff at Loughborough University. I will happily put together workshops to suit a groups needs and would be confident delivering basic drawing, painting and mark making skills in pencil, pastel, charcoal, oil pastel, acrylic, watercolour and print-making. Danemill School Lockdown Project

During lockdown in 2020, children at Enderby Danemill Primary School agreed to take part in an art project with me. They each received an A4 line drawing that made up part of a larger image I had designed. The children (and some staff) were encouraged to colour in and/or collage their section in a way that reflected their own experience of lockdown. The results were then photographed and collated digitally to create one large collaborative artwork that was printed on to a banner to display at the school gates.
