FRAMED ORIGINAL PAINTING - The Last Chair

£150.00

These acrylic paintings were inspired to mark the occasion of my parents leaving the farm where I grew up and where they had farmed until my dad was in his mid 70s. When I was younger, we often had a bonfire on Guy Fawkes night and my parents decided to have one last one.  It served as an opportunity to get everyone together and to burn any rubbish after their mammoth effort to tidy the farm.

“Last chair” is an illustration of someone comfortable in an old chair that is eventually destined for the fire. The person is gazing into the fire, lost in their own thoughts, probably unaware that others have given up their seating as fuel and are headed back to the house.

330 × 330 mm framed in black wood.
